Understanding the Health Cost of Water Injustice
As part of its commitment to advancing dialogue on water justice and public health, the African Youth Water Forum (AYWF) hosted a continental webinar on "Understanding the Health Cost of Water Injustice." The webinar convened experts from public health, water governance, and academia to examine how unequal access to safe water and sanitation continues to impact the health, dignity, and livelihoods of millions across Africa. Participants explored the links between water insecurity, disease prevention, governance, financing, innovation, and the importance of inclusive, people-centred solutions. The webinar reinforced AYWF’s commitment to fostering knowledge exchange, promoting youth-led advocacy, and advancing collaborative solutions that contribute to equitable access to safe water and sanitation across Africa.
