Welcome to the African Youth Water Forum

Where youth are transforming Africa's water future.

Water affects everything: health, education, food security, climate resilience, economic growth, and human dignity. Yet millions of Africans still lack access to safe water and sanitation.

AYWF exists to connect, inspire, and mobilize youth to become leaders, advocates, and innovators for water justice. Through collaboration, knowledge sharing, policy engagement, and collective action, we are creating a powerful movement for change across the continent.

Join the movement. Raise your voice. Shape the future.

AYWF is more than a network. It is a movement of African youth who are committed to driving sustainable water solutions, climate action, and community-led transformation across the continent.

Who We Are

A movement for water justice, led by Africa's youth.

AYWF exists to connect, inspire, and mobilize youth to become leaders, advocates, and innovators for water justice. Through collaboration, knowledge sharing, policy engagement, and collective action, we are creating a powerful movement for change across the continent.

We believe African challenges require African solutions, and that youth, the continent's largest demographic, are best positioned to drive that change with the creativity, energy, and commitment it demands.

Convened by Young Visionary Leaders Ghana in 2026, AYWF is hosted in Ghana and is building regional hubs across all five African sub-regions.
